According to Circular Letter KSOP Class IV Padangbai Number SE-KSOP.Pbi/01/Year 2025 dated June 23, 2025, all operators and captains of high-speed passenger vessels (fast boats) on the Padangbai–Pemenang route must delay their departures starting June 24, 2025, from 12:00 WITA until weather conditions are declared safe for sailing again.
Reason for Delay
This decision was made based on the maritime weather forecast issued by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency Region III, predicting adverse weather conditions in the northern Lombok Strait waters. The poor weather conditions are expected to last from June 24, 2025, at 08:00 WITA to June 26, 2025, at 08:00 WITA.
